Insightful Digital Marketing Resources From Pyxl
We’ve kicked off the new year with three exciting presentations! In case you missed one or would like to review what was covered, we’re giving you a snapshot of each presentation and complementary resources you can apply to your business.
1. Measuring Digital: How to Track Marketing Activities & Quantify ROI
We had a fantastic turn out at the Knoxville American Marketing Association’s 3rd Annual Progressive Marketing Summit! Attendees included many local business owners and managers, as well as corporate marketers and employees of Knoxville’s local marketing firms. The event focused on mobile marketing, and included two speakers as well as two panel discussions. Keynote speaker and Pyxl founder, Brian Winter, delivered a presentation on “Measuring Digital,” emphasizing the importance of tracking marketing activities to measure ROI. He highlighted the complexity of reaching customers in today’s digital environment. To combat this hurdle, marketers must have a defined plan to reach customers, one that can be measured and evolve. Brian shared seven key steps to creating a digital marketing strategy that engages customers and generates quality leads and provided an example of a highly successful company that has used these steps to create a marketing plan that delivers a high ROI. The steps discussed included:
- Set measurable goals
- Build an engaging website
- Develop relevant content
- Create targeted destinations
- Nurture leads intelligently
- Measure points of engagement
- Manage and modify campaigns
Through his engaging discussion and the examples provided, Brian gave attendees a clear understanding of how difficult it is to reach customers and the importance of developing a measurable plan to overcome these challenges.

2. Re-thinking Digital: The Evolution of Mobile & Its Impact on Web Strategies
The two-day 48 West technology and media event was jam-packed with food, music and technology. It showcased industry leaders that are driving the future of technology and gave attendees a collaborative forum in which to network. Pyxl’s founder Brian Winter challenged attendees to re-think their way of marketing on the web by using a method he calls “integrated engagement.” In his presentation, “Re-thinking Digital” Brian put the kibosh on using “the web” as a single medium and introduced the concept of integrated engagement. With the significant rise of mobile users, it’s key to optimize content in order to reach target audiences across multiple devices. Brian kept the audience engaged, discussing ways companies can incorporate mobile strategies into their web marketing efforts and delivering relevant, key takeaways that added value and could be immediately implemented into a marketing strategy.
3. Integrated Engagement: Content, Reach & Context in a Mobile World
Industry experts from media, marketing and tech companies, service providers and non-profit organizations gathered at the Arizona Tech Council Lunch & Learn hosted by Pyxl on February 19th. Our founder, Brian Winter, delivered a fascinating presentation on “Integrated Engagement.” Did you know web browsing in 2013 is expected to occur more
via a mobile device than on a desktop? With the increasing number of mobile users, businesses need to include mobile strategies in their marketing initiatives in order to reach customers.
Brian walked through the concept of integrated engagement, which involves delivering the right message to the right audience on the right device. He outlined seven steps to successful integrated digital engagement, shared applicable case studies and provided best practices such as, creating effective integrated engagement campaigns and optimizing content to reach targeted audiences tailored for a specific device. Attendees couldn’t take notes fast enough! The presentation provided the tools to transform their marketing approach to produce more qualified leads.
