Thanksgiving is a time for delicious food, quality family time, big parades, football, some shopping bargains and a few well-deserved days out of the office. Who doesn’t love it?

In the spirit of this awesome holiday, we decided to come together as a team and take a second (or rather a blog post) to give thanks to the top 10 things we are thankful for this year. So here goes…

1. Our clients. We couldn’t talk about all the things we’re thankful for this year without first mentioning our wonderful clients. So here’s to the great companies that keep us busy and keep the lights on at our office. We couldn’t do it without you!

2. Family & Friends. This might be another given. After all, who would console us after a rough day at the office if it weren’t for our families and friends? But seriously, thanks to the family members of all Pyxl employees and thanks to our expanded group of friends and happy hour companions! What would we do without you?

3. Extended Deadlines. Who doesn’t love finding out they don’t have to stay late at the office because their tight deadline has been extended? Enough said…(Kervie, this one’s for you)

4. Lunch Breaks. While the decision between Fire House and Subway is always a tough one (not really — sorry, Bren), we’re thankful each day for our much-deserved lunch hour and time spent chatting with the team over good food.

5. Happy Hours. A night out with the Pyxl team is always a good time…or an awkward one. Either way, we encourage everyone to experience one of these with us…and we’re greatly thankful to those who find the time to join us. A few drinks (or Diet Cokes for Josh) among friends is always something to be thankful for!

6. Technology. Whether it be our awesome Apple toys (sorry, Creed) to iPhones, Androids and Blackberries to social media technology like Twitter and Facebook, technology is pretty awesome and we’re thankful for it! After all, could you imagine what work would be like without it?

7. The frequent use of sarcasm in the office. Who wants to work in a boring office? Not us! …and that’s why we’re greatly thankful for the frequent use of sarcasm in the office. After all, the day goes by a lot faster when you’re having fun!

8. Armando. If you haven’t seen our new service, MyPRGuide, please check it out. Armando is there. We love him (especially Nicole). He makes us happy…and that’s why he’s on our list this year.

9. Our new office (almost). After waiting about a full year for our new office at Northshore Town Center to be finished (please don’t ask), it’s pretty obvious why we’re thankful that we should be (finally) moving in within the next few weeks. Come visit us when we do!

10. Skype emoticons. Chatting among the team via Skype wouldn’t be nearly as fun without the awesome emoticons we use daily. Our inter-office Skype chats are a sacred space, and we’re thankful for them.

…and of course there are many other things we are thankful for this Thanksgiving, but we had to limit ourselves to 10 so this post didn’t go on forever. We hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and we will catch you all after the long holiday weekend!
