If you live in Knoxville or plan to be in town this week, we have a very cool event for you to check out… This Thursday (12/10) and Friday (12/11), Joy to the World is hosting a trunk show and home tour to benefit M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Children’s Art Project! The Pyxl team will be there, and we hope you will too! It’s a great event to put you in the holiday spirit AND help kids in need this holiday season!

Pyxl team members are working to help local charities, despite the downturn in the economy. With the slow economy, many local charities are hurting as resources become more scarce and the needs of the local community are growing. One organization familiar to everyone is the Salvation Army, who has excellent local and national programs. The Salvation Army has been in the news recently working hard to raise funds to continue to help the local community. Twestival local is a twittified charity run encouraging people in communities from across the country to organize local charity events powered by Twitter. Knoxville’s Twestival event organized by Knoxville Overground, Knoxville Social Media Association and Knoxville Social Media Club, is being held September 10 at the Knoxville Zoo.
